Telemedicine

Telemedicine Service Offered Through CVS Virtual Care

What is Telemedicine?

Telemedicine is the remote diagnosis and treatment of patients by means of telecommunications technology. Telemedicine services offer an easy and costeffective telehealth solution for you to get the care you need. CVS Virtual Care provides on-demand 24/7/365 access to non-urgent health care through their national networks of licensed, board-certified US-based doctors and pediatricians.

How much does it cost per visit?

Televisits with CVS Virtual Care cost less than going to a convenience or urgent care clinic, and significantly less than going to the emergency room. Some benefits start at $0 depending on your health plan and deductible.

Does CVS Virtual Care only cover general medical visits?

CVS Virtual Care offers coverage common illnesses, minor injuries, and medication refills. However, it also provides mental health support for adults and teens (13+). Talk with a therapist about your anxiety or stress. Or schedule with a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) for diagnosis, treatment and medication management.

Remember, you should only use telehealth services for non-life threatening conditions.
