Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
Dependent Care FSA
The Dependent Care FSA allows you to set aside up to $7,500 per plan year ($3,750 if married and filing separately) to cover expenses for your children under age 13 that you claim as dependents, as well as adults or other relatives that are incapable of caring for themselves so you and your spouse can work or go to school. Services may be provided at a child or adult care center, nursery, preschool, after-school, summer day camp or a nanny in your home. In order to qualify for reimbursement, services need to be related to the care of:
- Children under the age of 13 who are listed as dependents on your income tax return
- Dependents of any age who are incapable of caring for themselves and who regularly spend at least 8 hours a day in your home.
